For 6 years now, Montreal Philanthropist and Action Centre Chairperson Ginger Petty, a long time and ardent supporter of the Action Centre, has organized a July summer picnic to welcome the Members to her home in the West Island. .

She creates a festival atmosphere with tents, games, activities and BBQs – in order for the members to escape the heat of the city and enjoy nature, cool breezes, rushing water and fresh air – in a magnificent country setting. The parade of STM Adapted Transport is quite a sight - as is all the joy, relief, relaxation and abundant happiness that we all share on a fabulous summer day at the water’s edge.

2011 was particularly memorable, as Ginger had organized for a helicopter, and with assistance and a lift, allowed for a majority of the members to have an experience of a lifetime by getting to fly over the city and the countryside.
