Challenge Month: May 2010 Here’s a fun, fantastic way to raise funds for a great cause – and an opportunity to challenge yourself, your friends and your imagination. If you were to spend the day in a wheelchair, would you and it easy? Or would you want to give up in an hour? Would your friends donate money to challenge you to last the whole day? We dare you to find out!

The Action Centre is dedicated to providing services for Montrealers with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, who are challenged every day to get around in wheelchairs or are forced into a life of limitations and sometimes isolation. Everyday events such as getting to work, running errands, using public transportation and even crossing the street – these are simple activities that most of us take for granted. For people who live their lives in wheelchairs, the Action Centre is here to help.
Of course, we need your help to keep rolling forward – and every year, we thank the many people who come to our rescue during the Annual Chair Aware Challenge^TM.

• Can’t participate but want to help? Please consider pledging an amount to one of our participants by
clicking on the “Sign-Up/Pledge” button and following the simple directions.

• If you prefer, we can register you by phone and provide you with printed pledge sheets. Just call

New Features in 2010

• We have lowered the suggested goal to $1,000 for individual pledges
(with tax receipts issued for donations over $20).
• That’s your first challenge – can you find 10 friends who are willing to pledge $100 each?
20 friends at $50 each? 40 friends at $25 each?

The BIG CHALLENGE is your day in a wheelchair, on any day from May 1 through 30, 2010. As always, we will deliver and pick up the wheelchair at your office, home, or any location of your choice. The BIG REWARD is in knowing that you’ve successfully challenged your friends and yourself, while raising money for an honourable cause. Please help us, we need your strength.
