The creation of the Action Centre was spearheaded by our founding partners at the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre - to establish a bilingual, structured activity (day) centre - that would permit Montreal adults with severe disabilities to enhance their overall quality of life.
In 1998, thanks to a generous donation from the JW McConnell Family Foundation, the Action Centre opened its doors.
For 3 years, we were located in Pointe St-Charles, and since January 2002, we have been located at our present facility on Dollard Ave, (corner Newman Blvd) in Ville LaSalle, Quebec.
In 2004, another donation from a private foundation allowed us to undertake a Capacity Building Project - in which our Members were active participants in the development and execution of the strategic vision for the Centre.
